“I meditate through movement. Athletics is in my DNA.
If I've learned anything from the pregnancy journey, my love for being active has only deepened because I've realized it brings me in tune with myself and it inspires me to achieve more.”
— Shannon Rowbury (4Two Co-Founder, 3x Olympian & Mother of 2)
Meet Shannon Rowbury
4Two Co-founder, 3-time Olympian & Mother of 2
As one of America’s best Track and Field athletes for a decade, Shannon Rowbury speaks from experiences as a three-time Olympian, a mother, and a trailblazer. Nike sponsored since 2007 and currently acting as a consultant in their Woman’s / Motherhood vertical, Shannon is well respected for her accomplishments on the Track, as well as her advocacy work.
In 2012, Shannon co-founded the non-profit Imagining More, through which she hosts community events ranging from speaking events to camps to races throughout the San Francisco Bay Area. Her efforts have had a deep impact on the San Francisco community and have earned support from the Department of State, Nike, Microsoft, the Oakland A’s, and the San Francisco Giants. For her efforts, the city of San Francisco named October 18, 2016 as “Shannon Rowbury Day.”
In addition to her non-profit work, this summer, Shannon will be making her NBC Sports debut as an analyst for the Paris Olympics covering Track & Field. Previously, Shannon was contracted as a broadcaster/analyst for CBS, World Athletics, USA Track & Field, and NCAA. Most recently, she was one of only three English (and the only female) In-Stadium announcer for the World Athletics World Championship in Budapest, where the sold-out crowd equaled 35,000. Some of her coverage was so poignant that it was repackaged as part of the event highlights.
