We are two mothers on a mission to guide expecting mothers through their fitness journey.
About us
Five years ago, Shannon Rowbury was a newly pregnant professional runner. Even though she was a 3-time Olympian, she wanted to understand what exercises were safe to do during pregnancy, but she quickly discovered that there was not enough readily available information for her.
Luckily for Shannon, she was introduced to Jessica Dorrington, a pelvic floor physical therapy specialist who helped hundreds of patients have healthy, active pregnancies followed by successful returns to fitness. Dorrington was also a runner and mother.
Jessica helped Shannon throughout her pregnancy and postpartum journey. After giving birth to her daughter, Sienna, Shannon won a U.S. National Title (5K Roads) and set a Master's American Record (5K).
Inspired by their work together, both women felt that mothers deserved better resources for exercising during pregnancy and postpartum.
From that belief, 4Two was born because when it comes to motherhood, it isn't just a moment; it's a MOTHERHOOD MOVEMENT!
Meet the Team

“Pregnancy doesn't change your ability to go after big goals. In my own experience, I ran some of my best performances after having my daughter.
After becoming a parent, the perspective of what matters changed and I had new motivations. I wanted to seek goals that would pave paths for my daughter and inspire her in the future.”— Shannon Rowbury (4Two Co-Founder, 3xOlympian & Mother of 2)

“As Shannon and I worked together, we understood that what you do during pregnancy makes you twice as likely to get back to doing what you love after.
That’s where we really brought this collaborative process of, ‘how we bring this to the masses,’ to help all the moms and all the athletes.”— Jess Dorrington (4Two Co-Founder, PT, MPT, OCS, CMPT, PRPC, CSCS & Mother of 2)
